Best Places to See the Eiffel Tower by Day
Come upon it at the Trocadero – the absolute best viewing platform for seeing the Tower for the first time.
If you can make the trek up, then chill at the top of Sacré-Cœur in Montmarte.
Of course, one of the best ways is just climbing the tower itself, either via stairs or lift:
Or stay up close, smack dab in front of the tower at Champ de Mars. Grab some cheese, bread, and a bottle of wine and enjoy a free picnic with a front row seat to the best view in Paris
For a more dynamic view, take a private cruise on the Seine!
Best Places to See the Eiffel Tower at Sunset
One our first trip to Paris, we loved this spot at the top of the Galeries Lafayettes. Sit on the steps and enjoy the view.
Dine at a trendy restaurant like Creatures at the top of the Galeries Lafayettes. Other options are Frame Bar, Girafe, and 6NewYork.
If that’s not in your area, then cruise right by it on the river Siene sunset cruise.
Or the Montparnasse Tower observation deck doesn’t look too shabby:

On a double decker bus (Bustronome) – too bad 3 hours is only 2 hours and 30 minutes too long to sit down with two young wild kids at dinner!
Get an elevated view from the Arc de Triomphe Observation Deck. Entrance tickets required, which you can get on site.
Climb to the top of the tower itself as it twinkles before your eyes. Or just lie on the ground underneath it, staring up at all its glory.
Or visit these two bridges which will give you one hell of an open show, no entrance fee required! Pont Alexandre Bridge and Bir Hakeim Bridge.
This is how I would want to see it – what a fun tour!
And don’t forget the classic go-to: cruise down the Siene whilst sipping champagne and listening to live music, well because… “when in Paris…”
Just in case you find yourself under the weather with two tired kids, and can’t make it to see the tower twinkle at night (just another reason for us to go back again, right?), then book one of these hotel rooms with a view of the Eiffel Tower, some as low as $190 a night!
