There are so many gift ideas for parents who love to travel. Take it from this travel-addicted mama. I always have a long list of things I “need” for our trips. Because you and I both know, your sister, mom or friend doesn’t want a new travel makeup bag, they really need one. Here are plenty of other things they definitely need:

Travel Accessories

Passport holders (with a slot for a vaccine card) are always cute and practical.

I love my new passport holders because it helps me quickly figure out which passport is which (I’m carrying four!).

Everyone can use a luggage tag, but especially frazzled parents with two toddlers. If we had one, maybe we wouldn’t have grabbed the wrong suitcase from baggage claim on our last trip. Maybe.

An international outlet adapter USB charger will come in handy to keep a ton of devices charged and ready.

Keep your hundreds of charges organized with these cute little thingamajiggies:

Packing cubes are great for organization, but why not step up your gifting game with these compression packing cubes?!

I use a lot of these containers – for my own toiletries, but also for baby shampoo, dish soap to wash bottles, and laundry detergent for those three-week Europe trips.

A toiletry bag can serve two purposes, so an extra one would be nice:

1 – Obviously to hold all of that crap I just mentioned, and…

2 – For an easier long-haul flight: hang one like this compact one from Amazon from the car seat or seat pocket for easy access to bottles, snacks, toys, sanitizer, wipes, and whatever else you may need. Then you don’t have to dig around a stuffed diaper backpack or germ-ridden seat pocket.

A motivational quote is just what a traveling mom needs. This cute make-up bag says it all:

Electronics

My Apple watch was put through the ringer with all of our trips this year. A screen protector would be a thoughtful gift for anyone with a watch:

This one is for the Apple Watch 7 series:

Keeping up with charging is a challenge on our long Europe trips. A power bank has been my life-saver. You don’t want to be co-pilot, out in the middle of who-knows-where-in-Europe, giving directions, and all of a sudden your battery is at 1%. Ahhh!!! Oh yea, did I mention the two restless toddlers in the back seat?

A Ring video doorbell will give your traveler some peace of mind while away from home:

A tablet is a must-have – stream your favorite shows after the kids are asleep on a long flight (some airlines don’t offer a screen for in-flight entertainment). Store back-up games for the kids just in case, and research yummy restaurants and fun things to do for the next day.

They are up to half off the price below during Black Friday “Week”!! (Click the link for more details). They offer 32GB and 64GB.

Add a protective case and SD card for extra storage:

Mom or dad will want some noise canceling head phones when they get the chance for some personal time.

We like our Sony pair, which is a crazy deal right now – more than half off. Of course you can’t go wrong with BOSE. And if packing space is an issue, go with the wireless ear buds.

To capture those unforgettable moments:

Travel Bags

Stylish and practical:

This backpack looks so versatile – it has a secure passport holder, phone pouch and travel wallet all built into the straps for safe keeping and easier access!

A duffel backpack will free up dad’s hands to hold the baby, push the stroller, and carry everything but the kitchen sink. My husband has this brand -it’s such an original, rugged but classy style. Love it.

Luggage

The traveling mum in your life would love a new luggage set:

And if the traveling mum gets brand spankin’ new luggage, then the traveling dad is going to want some too.

Baby Carriers

When I gave my husband a hiking carrier one Christmas, his reaction was a bit mixed. Partly excited but partly dreading carrying a 30-pound toddler on some future, challenging bucket-list hikes of ours.

We do really like our Deuter though – money well spent.

I really liked my carrier from Amazon with a “seat” for baby. It helps distribute the pressure so it isn’t so isolated to one spot on your lower back. I included the Tula carrier because it gets rave reviews from traveling mom groups.

Gift Cards

Some of our most memorable traveling moments are sitting out on a balcony, looking out at a beautiful view, and savoring a delicious meal that was delivered right to our room.

When traveling with kids, by the time dinner comes around you’re ready to bunker in, relax, and not take a gamble on how a tired, hangry three year old is going to act in a restaurant. Food delivery service has become our saving grace.

Any traveling parent would be thrilled to get a Door Dash, Grub Hub or UberEats gift card!

After every big trip I make a photo album so we can relive the moments again and again as my baby brain fails my memory. Shutterfly and Mixbook are great gift card options for the digital scrap-booker in your life.

And if you’re still out of ideas, everyone loves Amazon. Play it safe with one of their gift cards.

Better yet – give the gift of Amazon Prime for a 3-month or 12-month membership. Your ‘giftee’ will have access to instant streaming for date nights in or family fun nights with the kids. They can also have diapers and other last-minute necessities shipped to their travel destination to keep packing light.

To try Amazon Prime for yourself, sign up for a 30-day trial for free.

Reading Material

If your traveler is an avid reader, then a Kindle membership of 6, 12 or 24 months would be much appreciated for unlimited reading and listening on any device.

Writing Material

From travel journals to bucket lists, we all could use a bit of wanderlust right about now. One of my favorite gifts from my husband is Our Bucket List Planner listed here first. Dreams have to start somewhere.

Once you are stocked up for the adult traveler in your life, be sure to spoil your mini-travelers with travel-inspired gifts for kids for the holidays.
